Many things define who I am whether it be my career aspirations, places I have traveled, relationships I have developed, or my music.  As a journalist, I realize how these things have shaped my personality and writing voice.  I want to be a voice for those who are silent.  I want to go after the story that most people would be afraid to tell.  I want to objectively show how society affects people and help us find a way to connect with each other.

This month, I am graduating Towson University in Maryland as a mass communication major in the journalism track. I have spent my semesters writing for The Towerlight, our campus newspaper and producing print and multimedia content for various new media courses. My most recent work was an online multimedia project on homelessness in Baltimore, which gave me new perspective on this often invisible issue.

I am hoping to find a job that will allow me to utilize all of these experiences and skills while doing something that I love.

Other interests of mine include writing and recording my own music (it has an indie/folk touch), traveling to new and exciting places and cooking up a delicacy to enjoy with my fiancé.
